Zedong (Jacky) is currently a first-year PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), advised by Prof. Dan Xu. Prior to this, he served as a visiting student at Westlake University, advised by Chair Prof. Stan Z. Li (IEEE Fellow, IAPR Fellow). He received his bachelor's degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), where he was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Xinggang Wang.

His research centers on (i) computer vision, including MogaNet (ICLR'24) and MergeVQ (CVPR'25), (ii) multi-task learning, including Rep-MTL (ICCV'25 Highlight), and (iii) deep learning optimizers, including SGG (ACL'25). He has been recognized as an Outstanding or Notable Reviewer at several top conferences, including ICLR'25 (rate: 2.6%), ECCV'24 (rate: 2.7%), ACM MM'24, and BMVC'24 (rate: 19.3%).
