Resumé / CV

Zedong (Jacky) is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), advised by Prof. Dan Xu. Prior to this, he was a visiting student at Westlake University, advised by Chair Prof. Stan Z. Li (IEEE Fellow, IAPR Fellow). He received his bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Xinggang Wang.

His research aims to build adaptive and scalable visual systems that perceive the world as holistically and efficiently as humans do. Specifically, (i) visual representation learning and generation: MogaNet (ICLR’24), MergeVQ (CVPR’25); (ii) efficient multi-task models and optimization: Rep-MTL (ICCV’25 Highlight, top 2.3%), SGG (ACL’25).

He has been recognized as Outstanding Reviewer at multiple premier venues, including ICLR’25 (2.6%), UniReps’25, ECCV’24 (2.7%), ACM MM’24, and BMVC’24 (19.3%).
